Recipe Pomegranata Martini

Yields 1 serving

Ingredients
Ice Cubes
1 1/2 cups fresh pomegranite juice *(See recipe for making juice below)
2 ounces lemon infused vodka or white tequila
1 ounce Cointreau liqueur
Splash of sparkling water
Squeeze of fresh lemon juice
Superfine sugar for dipping
Pomegranate seeds, garnish (optional) (Atkins Farm has seeds already peeled in containers)

Fill a cocktail shaker halway with ice. Pour in pomegranate juice, vodka, Cointreau, sparkling water and lemon juice.
Shake well. Pour strained cocktail into sugar-rimmed martini glass. Garnish each by delicately dropping a few pomegranate seeds in the bottom of the glass.

* To make pomegranate juice, cut a ripe medium-sized pomegranate in half and squeeze with any conventional juicer or press. If necessary, strain the juice through a mesh strainer. Each pomegranate should yield about 4 ounces (1/2 cup) of juice.
